What data we collect
When you ask for a quote or write to us
- Name
- E-mail and/or telephone
- The town where the work is
- Whatever you write in the message
- The page of the site you sent the request from
We only ask for what we need in order to reply. We do not ask you for a tax number, a full street address or payment details through the site.
When you visit the site
The hosting company automatically logs technical data — IP address, date and time, browser and pages visited — for as long as the security and running of the server requires. These logs are not used to identify you.
What we use the data for
- Answering your request and preparing the quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Meeting legal obligations, where there is a contract and invoicing. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- Keeping the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not send you newsletters you did not ask for, and we do not sell or pass your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Who else has access
Only those who need it, and only in order to provide the service:
- The company that hosts this site and the e-mail service, so that the request reaches us.
- Our accountants, when a request leads to a contract and an invoice.
- Public authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Requests with no follow-up: up to two years, in case you come back to us about the same matter.
- Requests that led to a job: the legal period that applies to the contractual and tax relationship, and the guarantee period.
- Technical server logs: the period set by the hosting company, normally a few months.
Your rights
At any time, and at no cost, you may:
- Find out what data of yours we hold and ask for a copy
- Correct data that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to the processing, or ask for it to be restricted
- Ask for the data in a format you can take elsewhere
Simply write to geral@superficiegenuina.com. We reply within one month. If you feel we have not handled the matter properly, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
Photographs of our work
We publish photographs of jobs we have carried out on this site. In those photographs we name, at most, the parish or the municipality — never the street address, the door number or the client’s name. We do not publish photographs showing identifiable people without permission.
If you were a client of ours and would rather a photograph of your home did not appear here, write to us and we will take it down.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version stays on this page with the date it was updated.
